Sprayed, not brushed
A brush and a roller both leave their own texture behind. On a flat wall you will never notice it. On a kitchen door, a wardrobe front or a run of fitted joinery - surfaces you stand a foot away from, in side light, every day - you notice nothing else.
Spraying lays down an even film with no brush marks, no roller stipple and no runs at the edges, which is why cabinet doors leave a factory looking the way they do. Doing it on site means the preparation and the masking have to be right, because a spray gun is not fussy about where the paint lands. That is the whole job: containment, preparation, then the finish.
Not everything has to be finished in the room it lives in. Doors, drawer fronts and loose joinery can go through a state-of-the-art spray booth instead, where the conditions are controlled and there is no dust in the air to land on a wet coat.

What is spray respraying, and how is it different from a normal repaint?
A brush leaves brush marks and a roller leaves a fine stipple. Spraying lays down an even film with neither, which is why kitchen cabinet doors leave a factory looking the way they do. On kitchen doors, wardrobe fronts and fitted joinery - surfaces you look at from close up in side light - that difference is very visible. On a plain wall it usually is not, which is why not everything needs spraying.
Can you respray kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them?
Usually, yes, where the carcasses are sound and the hinges and runners still work. Doors and drawer fronts are taken off and sprayed, frames and fixed panels are masked and sprayed in place. It is an alternative to replacing cabinetry that is otherwise still doing its job. Doors with lifting foil wrap or water-swollen MDF edges are the main exception, and Richie will say so before quoting.
How do you stop overspray getting everywhere?
Containment is most of the work. Doors come off and are sprayed away from the room where possible, worktops, floors, appliances and sockets are masked and sheeted, and the work area is closed off from the rest of the property before a gun is picked up. The space is cleaned down at the end rather than left.
How long will my kitchen be out of action?
It depends on the number of doors, the finish, and how long the coatings need to harden before doors can be handled normally. You will get a realistic answer at the quote stage rather than an optimistic one - and if it is going to be inconvenient, it is better to know that in advance.
Do you offer free quotes?

How much disruption does a decorating job cause?
Rooms are sheeted and masked before anything starts, and work runs room by room where possible so the rest of the property stays usable. How disruptive it is depends entirely on scope, which gets talked through at the quote rather than discovered on day two.
Do you hang wallpaper as well as paint?
Yes. Feature walls, full rooms, pattern-matched papers and murals, including lining first where older plaster needs it. The pattern repeat and drop are planned before anything is cut.
Do you work on commercial premises as well as homes?
Yes - offices, retail units, communal areas and back-of-house. Commercial work is phased around how the space is used, with access and site arrangements agreed in writing before the first day.
What paint do you use?
The specification is chosen per job and agreed with you before anything is ordered: primer matched to the actual substrate, and a sheen chosen for how hard that surface gets used. If you have a particular brand or product you want used, that is not a problem - just say at the quote stage.
Do you paint the outside of properties?
Yes - render, masonry, weatherboard, fascias, soffits and exterior joinery. Exterior work starts with identifying the substrate and what is already on it, because render, timber and pebbledash each need different preparation, and it is scheduled around the weather rather than against it.
