Who is responsible for your information

RS Spray Decor is run by Richie Crathern from 17 Brookside Avenue, Ashford, Surrey, TW15 3NH. That business is the data controller for anything you send through this website.

Questions about any of this go directly to Richie Crathern, at richie@rs-spraydecor.co.uk or 07990 035522.

What this site collects

Only what you type into the quote form. Nothing is gathered in the background, and nothing is collected from you if you simply read the site and leave.

  • Your name, phone number and email address. Required, because a quote cannot be sent back to nobody.
  • The service you are asking about and your town. Optional. They let the job be understood and scheduled sensibly.
  • Your message, preferred contact method and rough timescale. Optional.
  • A timestamp of when the form was opened, and one hidden field left blank. These two exist only to reject automated spam. They are not about you and are not stored separately.

This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no session tracking anywhere on it. You are not profiled, and nothing about your visit is measured.

Why it is used, and the lawful basis

Your details are used to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quote, and to carry out the work if you go ahead. That is the whole of it. Nothing is sold, nothing is shared for marketing, and you are not added to a mailing list.

  • Steps taken at your request before a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) for quoting and arranging work.
  • Legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) for replying to an enquiry you started, and for the basic spam checks on the form. The interest is being able to answer you; it does not override your rights, and you can object at any time.

You will not be sent marketing. If that ever changes, it will be on a separate opt-in and never bundled into a quote request.

Who sees it, and who processes it

Richie Crathern reads every enquiry himself. There is no call centre, no lead-selling arrangement and no third-party sales agency involved.

A small number of service providers handle the data on the business's behalf, and only for that purpose:

  • Resend delivers the notification email that carries your enquiry to Richie Crathern. Your details pass through their systems in order to be sent.
  • Supabase stores submitted enquiries in a database, where that storage has been set up for this business. Until it is, enquiries are delivered by email only and are not stored anywhere else by this website.
  • Vercel hosts the website and serves its pages. Their servers process the request that carries your form submission.
  • Google supplies the map on the contact page, and only if you press the button to load it. Until you do, no request is made to Google and nothing about your visit reaches them. If you do load it, Google receives that request in the ordinary way.

If you message on WhatsApp or call instead of using the form, that conversation is handled by your phone network or by WhatsApp under their own terms, not by this website.

Information is disclosed to anyone else only where the law requires it. It is not transferred outside the UK or the EEA except where one of the providers above does so under their own approved safeguards.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept while there is a realistic chance of hearing back from you, and are deleted within twelve months of the last contact.

Where the enquiry does become a job, the records that go with it are kept for as long as they are needed for the work, any guarantee discussion afterwards, and the tax and accounting records the business is legally required to hold.

You can ask for your details to be deleted sooner. See below.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask, free of charge, to:

  • see a copy of the information held about you
  • have anything inaccurate corrected
  • have it deleted
  • have its use restricted while a dispute is sorted out
  • object to it being used on the legitimate interests basis
  • receive it in a portable, machine-readable form

Ask by email at richie@rs-spraydecor.co.uk, or by phone on 07990 035522. You will get a response within one month.

If you are not happy with how a request was handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. Raising it directly first is welcome but not required.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. The quote form is validated on the server as well as in the browser, and carries basic anti-spam checks.

No system is perfect, and this notice does not pretend otherwise. Please do not send bank details, card numbers or copies of identity documents through the form. They are never needed to get a quote.

Changes to this notice

If how enquiries are handled changes, this page changes with it. There is no archive of previous versions, so what is on this page is what applies now.

Ready to get a quote instead? Send the details of your job and Richie Crathern will come back to you, normally the same or next working day.
